Neurosis

Is this a plushie? I think he's a Flanagan puppet. A Flappet.

This is Neurosis. He's mostly a large red jumper, and his head is a basic two-part fur pattern with a big slit in it for the mouth, and a cardboard mouth lined with red felt. His hands are my gloves tipped with fur fingers. One hand goes up into his mouth and the other controls his right hand, traditional Muppet-style. The other hand looks a bit floppy, but technically someone else could operate it.

There seems to be some kind of human hard-wiring which makes them like puppets. People seem to produce bit goofy smiles when shown them, and start laughing at the slightest movement, even though I'm about as good a puppeteer as a sea cucumber is a good manicurist.
